Edible Apple

SlingMedia, purveyor of SlingPlayer, wrote a brief note on its website hinting that the SlingPlayer app should be available on the iTunes App Store sometime soon.  The note reads:

We’ve submitted the first release of our application to the iPhone App Store.  We are in close contact with our partners at Apple and are optimistic that it will be approved soon. We hope the wait won’t be much longer.

Sounds promising, especially in light of recent rumors which had AT&T pressuring Apple into rejecting the app due to bandwidth concerns.
