If any of you guys have already downloaded iTunes 9, you might have noticed that clicking on the green resize button no longer brings up the simplified iTunes miniplayer pictured above.  Instead, it actually enlarges the active iTunes window.  But don’t fret, faithful readers, the miniplayer is still alive and well.

If you’re not content with controlling the iTunes player with the conveniently placed controls located on the keyboard, you can still bring up the miniplayer by holding down the option key as you click on the green resize button in the upper left hand corner of the iTunes window.  Wallah!  And in the interest of completeness, the hot key combo to bring up the miniplayer from within iTunes is command-shift-M.
