BizJournals reports:

Mobile phone designer Emblaze Ltd. has filed suit against Apple Inc. alleging patent infringement.

Israel-based Emblaze said its U.S. patent — which it has held since 2002 — is infringed by Apple’s HTTP live-streaming application.

The suit claims that Cupertino-based Apple launched its HTTP Live Streaming Standard in the middle of last year and it is embedded in devices that includes its iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Macs.

Emblaze is seeking unspecified damages and a judgment against Apple.
