Steve Jobs not keen on “USB 3 taking off at this time”

Don’t expect to see USB 3 make its way into upcoming Macs anytime soon. Responding to a user email regarding the inability to purchase a Mac with USB 3.0, Apple CEO Steve Jobs responded tersely:

We don’t see USB 3 taking off at this time. No support from Intel, for example.

And so the wait, if you wanna call it that, continues. Intel will reportedly not support USB 3.0 until 2011.
