Yesterday, MacRumors discovered new data strings in the iOS 4.3 beta that reference a “Find My Friends” feature. The data strings are related to MobileMe settings, implying that the feature may be tied to folks who sign up for MobileMe’s $99/year service.

“Find My Friends” will most likely be used to allow users to locate their “friends” via GPS, a handy feature when you’re trying to find where a group of friends are at a large concert venue or even in an unfamiliar part of town.
