Apple this evening unveiled an official Twitter account for the iTunes App Store where users can get info about new and exciting apps in addition to being privy to exclusive offers. Since launching a few hours ago, the number of followers has skyrocketed to 39,000+. As you might expect, the official name for the account is AppStore. Overall getting into the Twitter mix should provide another avenue for users to keep track of potentially attractive apps in a marketplace that now houses hundreds of thousands of applications.
