MacPost today posted photos of an iPhone front and back panel which purport to show Apple’s upcoming N94 device.  N94 is Apple’s internal designation for an as of yet unreleased iPhone. Whereas previous reports have suggested that the N94 is the iPhone 5, MacPost believes that the N94 is an upgraded version of the iPhone 4 for reasons laid out below.

The photos above and below show a bezel that’s approximately the same size as the iPhone 5. Indeed, all of the parts displayed appear to be on par with the specs of the iPhone 4.

This of course begs the question, are these parts from a revised model of the iPhone 4 or from a device Apple’s calling the iPhone 5?

Well, in light of another rumor today claiming that the iPhone 4’s glass back has fallen out of favor with Apple’s brass, MacPost is confident these photos are indeed from a low cost iPhone 4 Apple is working on.

Above, note that the LCD is clearly “labeled as N94 “EVT1″ (Engineering Verification Testing) with date ’03-March-2011′. Whilst, the white front cover posted few days back was labeled “EVT2″ with date ’07-June-2011′. Since these are marked as N94 EVT1, the images are definitely of next generation model.”

We first heard reference to the N94 back in April amid reports that Apple was testing an iPhone 4 like device on T-Mobile. Over the past few weeks, a number of varying sources have all pointed to Apple releasing the iPhone on both Spring and T-Mobile.
