“Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in.”

No matter how much money AT&T seems to pump into their cellular network, and no matter how many improvements they implement, AT&T customers are still getting the short end of the stick when it comes to dropped calls and overall call quality.

In a recent suvey of 4,040 customers conducted by ChangeWave Research, 4.5% of surveyed AT&T customers reported experiencing a dropped call. Meanwhile, 1.5% of Verizon subscribers reported a dropped call in the last 90 days.

Analyzing data stretching back for 1.5 years, it appears that the number of AT&T dropped calls is actually increasing while Verizon’s is on the decline.

And in terms of customer satisfaction with various cellular providers, well, the numbers speak for them-self.

I don’t have these problems out here in southwest Virginia.

I have talked to AT&T customer support several times recently (adding lines, porting numbers, changing phones), and I have to say each time they are TOPS in customer service–on a par with Apple Inc.
