Proposing in a movie theatre with an iPhone [Video]

There’s no magic formula to rely on when asking a girl to marry you, and while you can go the classic route and get down on one knee, today’s technology affords men a lot more room for creativity. And in that regard, the following proposal is hard to top.

Earlier this September, an enterprising fellow named Chad Clay took his girlfriend to the same movie theatre where the two first watched a movie together. During the course of the movie previews and commercials, up popped what appeared to be a regular ole’ iPhone ad.

But alas, this was hardly an Apple produced advertisement.

What played instead was a video proposal set to music created, in part, with some handy iPhone apps. Crank the creativity up to 11 folks because Chad (a.k.a BB Bling) pulled out all the stops as you can see from the video below. And while not every girl fantasizes about getting proposed to in a movie theatre via an iPhone inspired video, you gotta respect a girl who can appreciate the gesture and obvious hard work that went into putting this bad boy together.

And some more info for all you gossip hounds out there.  All told, the final product took about 4 months to complete and was ultimately mixed in pro tools, with some auto-tuning thrown in for good measure.

Here, Chad explains what happened following the video:

At the end where the video sent the text message, Vy actually received that same text message from my phone. At that moment I got down on one knee, looked at Vy and said “Vy, you’re my best friend, I love you so much and I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?”

As  you might expect, she said yes and the entire audience of about 30 people applauded. Soon thereafter, some of the couple’s friends presented lucky ole’ Vy with a dozen roses.
