Signal attenuation is not unique to the iPhone, also affects Nokia and HTC devices

Nokia had some fun at Apple’s expense earlier this week when they posted a sarcastic blog post explaining the multitude of ways users can hold Nokia devices while making calls and avoiding signal degradation. But a decrease in signal depending on how one holds a phone is not a problem unique to the iPhone 4. In the videos below, users recreate the same reception problems plaguing the recent iPhone by gripping the device around the location of the antenna.
