The USA Today was apparently duped into thinking that this iPad steering wheel mount was the real thing, and even went so far as to write an article about it in their automotive section. The funniest thing, aside from the absurdity of the contraption itself, is how short the “closed course” the driver is supposedly on is.

The biggest clue? This product endorsement:

For those who aren’t aware, Stanley Milgram is famous for the Milgram Expirment wherein test subjects were forced to shock others in order to determine if people will follow authority even if they think someone is doing something wrong. Milgram died in 1984.

There are several car models (like the Citroen C4) out there where the center of the steeringwheel does not turn. That would make it easy to mount the iPad there and make it “useable”.
