Bloomberg’s ongoing Game Changersseries, which previously profiled Apple CEO Steve Jobs, recently covered Google founders Larry Paige and Sergey Brin on their path from Stanford to the kings of search. Interestingly, the program recounts how Paige and Brin both visited Apple’s campus in Cupertino to meet with Jobs to discuss if the Apple co-founder would be interested in taking up CEO duties at Google. Naturally, Jobs said no.

Paige and Brin would end up interviewing around 13 candidates before settling on Eric Schmidt, who subsequently joined Apple’s board of directors for a short while before resigning due to conflicts of interest.
