Huzzah! The iPad launch is just weeks away and developers are undoubtedly burning the midnight oil in order to get their iPad designed apps ready for the masses. The way things are set up now, developers have to use an iPad simulator in the iPhone SDK because, well, no one has an iPad yet. That said, some developers have expressed concern that coding for a device without really knowing what it feels like to actually hold and use one may cause some hiccups in the coding process. Still, some developers seemingly can’t wait to put their custom designed apps up on the iPad, with one of them being the good folks behind 1Password.

In case you’re not familiar with 1Password, it’s an award winning product for both the Mac and the iPhone that helps users manage the complex web of usernames and logins that inevitably results from using a variety of login ids. But more than that, 1Password will also help you generate unbelievably secure passwords if you want to make sure things are kept under lock and key, while also making them easily accessible for you and you alone.

1Password is the brainchild of Agile Web Solutions, and in anticipation of the iPad launch, they’ve posted some mockup screenshots of what the iPad version of 1Password is gonna look like – and it looks incredible. For one thing, AWS has the UI design down pat. But even more exciting, we think, is that the mockups of 1Password give us a tantalizing taste of what yet’s to come from developers. All that screen space + multitouch will really open the door to some innovative and exciting new software applications.

So without further adieu, here’s what 1Password on the iPad will most likely look like.

Now that looks like a sleek and well-designed piece of software. April 3rd can’t come soon enough!
