The new MacBook Pro’s are fast. So much so that Gizmodo was blown away by the results of their benchmarking tests when comparing the new 2.66 Ghz i7 15-inch MacBook Pro against the previous generation’s 2.8Ghz Core 2 Duo.
GeekBench results? Blazing!
Xbench? As Homer might say, “It’s still good, it’s still good.”
And now for some old fashioned file conversion via Handbrake. The result? 50% faster.
And all this with increased battery life? Dang.
