Engadget scored what appears to be an internal HP document comparing the upcoming HP Slate to the recently released iPad. The HP Slate is rumored to drop in June, and coupled with a higher pricepoint and a meager 5 hour battery life, it doesn’t seem like it will do much to challenge the iPad, Flash support and an embedded camera notwithstanding.

Still, HP put out the following teaser video for the Slate yesterday.

I must confess that I’m more tempted by an HP iSlate than I am by an iPad. At least with the iSlate I get a fully fledge OS, and not the stripped down, restrictive iPhone OS nonsence. I might be willing to put up with a 5 hour battery life and less than optimal multitouch UX experience for the simple fact that I gain access to the whole web, and am able to run all of my favourite programs that I use.

If only Apple could find a way to get the full MacOSX working on an iPad, then they’d truely have a revolution on their hands.
