Last week, Adobe released its Photoshop.com Mobile app for the iPhone.  The app, naturally, is a striped down version of Adobe’s popular Photoshop editing program and so far it’s off to a more than impressive start.

John Nack, writing for Adobe, writes that the app has already been downloaded over 1 million times in less than 2 weeks.  Below is the official press release from Adobe.

Adobe today announced that its Photoshop.com Mobile for iPhoneapplication has been downloaded over 1 million times from Apple’s App Store, a milestone reached in less than one week of availability. Additionally, the application has held the No. 1 position for all “Top Free” applications as well as the “Top Free” application in the Photography category for 10 consecutive days. Thousands of iTunes reviews have provided Adobe with positive feedback, insight and suggestions that will be considered for future versions of the application.

As it stands now, the app is only available for iPhone users in the U.S. and Canada, which makes the feat even that much more impressive.

I wasn’t too impressed with it but I’m sure it’s much more useful with the iPhone/camera. It might be interesting to see where they take it with future updates.
