Well, it looks like Leopard users will be getting one final update before Snow Leopard drops in September.

MacRumors reports:

Apple has begun seeding Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L14) to Mac developers.

The new version of Mac OS X 10.5.8 offers the usual laundry list of fixes and changes to Leopard. Apple specifically cites 27 fixes across iDisk, iCal, Spotlight and more. It seems likely that this release will be the final update to 10.5 before we see the introduction of 10.6.

Any bets on 10.5.9?

OS X 10.6, a.k.a Snow Leopard, is scheduled for a September release and will be available as a $29 upgrade for all Leopard users.

If you want more down and dirty details about the update, a forum poster over at MacRumors writes that the new seeded copy addresses the following focus areas:

– 802.1X
– AFP
– AirPort
– Automator
– Bluetooth
– Graphics Drivers
– iCal
– iDisk Synching
– Networking
– Spotlight
– Sync Services
– USB
