In yet another sign of the strength behind the iTunes App Store, Nickelodeon recently announced plans to develop applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch that center around a number of its cartoons, namely “SpongeBob SquarePants”, “Dora the Explorer”, and “iCarly.” If the iPod Touch is able to position itself as a must-have device for kids, then watch out! iPod sales might keep on shooting upwards with no end in sight.
