For those of us who haven’t been blessed with artistic talent, the following video is truly mesmerizing.  Artist Jorge Columbo drew this weeks cover of The New Yorker armed only with an iPhone, the Brushes app, and his trusty finger.  The following video captures Columbo’s entire design process, and it’s incredible to see smudges on the screen evolve into living and breathing characters and objects.
