Long forgotten in the seemingly never ending list of of banned apps from the iTunes App Store was Slasher, an app which displayed a large knife on the screen and emitted a “horror” sound when shaken.  Apple banned it from the app store last August, but now, for whatever reason, it’s back up and live and available for download in iTunes.

Is Apple finally shedding its puritanical skin in response to the cyclical complaints it receives every time it removes or rejects a controversial app from iTunes?  We can only hope so.
