The controversial Arabic TV News network Al Jazeera recently launched an iPhone and iPod Touch app that gives users a live feed of the English language version of the channel.  The stream works both over Wi-Fi and 3G networks, though they note that there is a bug that prevents the program from working properly on the new iPhone 3GS model.  A fix is expected in the next couple of days.

The developers note that the app is broadband heavy, and warns users to be cognizant of that fact when traveling abroad, where roaming charges are outrageously high.  Specifically, every 10 minutes of streamed content requires approximately 7.2MB of bandwidth.

You can check out the app over here.
