A recently added app to the iTunes app store has some crying racisim. The app in question is called Ghetto Tweets Mayne, and according to the description, it “automatically filters all your friends tweets into gangsta slang.. making you about as hip as any bling-blingin rapper.”
Is the app racist? We don’t think so, and besides, who says that “gangstas” have to exclusively belong to one ethnicity or the other? But as Gizmodo points out, it’s ridiculous that GhettoTweets gets into the app store unscathed while an app displaying the Obama “Hope” image was initially denied.
