How did this analyst ever get a job?

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter recenty told TG Daily “that Apple is unlikely to launch a game console before 2015,” and that Apple is “way behind Microsoft” when it comes to video games, and that it may never catch up.

Wow, 2 words come to mind – No. Shit.

Somehow this guy earns a paycheck coming up with these gems, noted in TG Daily:

However, Pachter did note that Club Cupertino would always be able to count on the “Apple faithful” to purchase the console, regardless of when it is launched.

“The Apple faithful are reminiscent of the Sony faithful in the 70s and 80s who bought only Sony TV and stereo components,” explained Pachter. “These people would buy an Apple refrigerator, if one was offered, on the basis that it was less complicated to chill food.”

This “Apple faithful” nonsense is beginning to get a bit tired.  The assumption or notion that Apple fans would have bought the iPhone if it resembled WIndows Mobile, for example, is absolutely ridiculous.

On another note, I boldly predict that Apple won’t release a series of routers before 2015.  Can I be an analyst now?
