Released just 2 days ago, the “I am T-Pain” iPhone app from Smule is off to impressive start, racing up to the top of the paid apps list on iTunes, and garnering a ton of buzz and solid user reviews in the process.  The app, from the music-minded folks behind Ocarina, lets users sing into the iPhone’s microphone, and subsequently changes the pitch and tone to sound like the auto-tuned singing voice of rapper T-Pain.  If you’re not quite sure what auto-tune sounds like, just think about any Kanye West song you’ve heard in the past few months, or, just check out the video below which shows the “I am T-Pain” app in action.
