Thieves steal thousands of iPhones in Belgium

In what is being classified as an “inside job”, thieves in Belgium recently stole 3-4,000 iPhones by climbing up a fire ladder to the top of a warehouse where they then cut a hole in the roof, slid down, and made off with the booty.  The fact that the hole was made directly over the area where the iPhones were being stored, not to mention the fact that the thieves were even aware that a new shipment of iPhones had arrived is what leads investigators to believe that the heist involved someone with inside knowledge.

Police have stated that the serial numbers for each iPhone is accounted for and that they can prevent the stolen devices from accessing the Mobistar network in Belgium.
