Internal shot of the iPad reveals A4 processor, Toshiba Flash, and Broadcom chip

In accordance with FCC regulations, Apple provided the FCC with an iPad to ensure that the device was compliant with radiation emission requirements. The FCC, in turn, was kind enough to publish all of their photos and testing materials, including a letter of confidentiality request from Apple, up on its website.

Above, you can see Apple’s A4 processor, and according to iFixit, the iPad also houses Toshiba Flash memory and a Broadcom BCM5973 chip. The tear down specialists note, though, that the iPad supplied to the FCC is most likely a pre-production model and therefore subject to change.
