Apple applies for “iTunes Live” trademark

Apple recently filed a trademark application for iTunes Live, a term which encapsulates the above logo and the following trademark classes:

– Online retail store services in the field of entertainment featuring prerecorded musical, audio and audiovisual content

– Entertainment services, namely, arranging and conducting of concerts and live musical performances

Will Apple be expanding the number of live musical recordings available on iTunes? Will iTunes Live constitute its own dedicated landing page within the iTunes Store?

Remember, a few weeks ago we detailed a patent filing from Apple dubbed “concert +” which described a service that would enable iPhone wielding concert goers to purchase live recordings of musical events while at the venue. Perhaps there’s some sort of tie-in here.
