Apple’s iPhone 4 press conference is set to take place tomorrow morning at 10AM PDT, and if you’re banking on the absurd notion of an iPhone 4 recall, think again. The Wall Street Journal reports, citing someone familiar with the matter, that Apple isn’t planning to recall the iPhone 4. If you recall, Apple typically enjoys using the WSJ as a medium with which to release “controlled leaks.”

Also interesting is that the WSJ report mentions that Apple was aware of the antenna issues on the iPhone 4, but chose to push ahead with the design regardless.

Apple engineers were aware of the risks associated with the new antenna design as early as a year ago, but Chief Executive Steve Jobs liked the design so much that Apple went ahead with its development, said another person familiar with the matter.
