Despite some speculation that the MacBook Air was going the way of the dodo, Digitimes is reporting that Apple is preparing to launch an 11.6-inch version of its ultra-thin notebook in the second half of 2011. The new machine will reportedly come with an Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor and will sport an even slimmer and lighter design. Notably, the technology used in the upcoming MacBook Air is “expected to be broadly used in the company’s other product lines…”
Also in the works is a new iPod Touch set to launch in either August or September. Echoing rumors from last week, the report notes that the 4th gen iPod Touch will include a 3MP camera for both photo and video recording and will come with Apple’s speedy A4 processor.
