It’s been a while since Apple updated Final Cut Studio, July 2009 to be exact, but some serious changes might be right around the corner. I mean, now that iMovie ’11 is finally helping people forget about the travesty that was iMovie ’08 (and to a lesser extent, ’09), it’s about time that Apple’s premium movie making software gets some love.

9to5Mac reader Evan Agee recently emailed Steve Jobs inquiring about any upcoming Final Cut Studio upgrades and whether or not the software will see a 64-bit update anytime soon.

Jobs replied,
