While iPhone 4 sales on Verizon have been steady and not quite astronomical, Motorola can’t be all that pleased that Verizon now has a brand new darling child in its smartphone lineup. In a regulatory filing made last week, Motorola stated that sales to Verizon last year accounted for 28% of the company’s revenue.

And with Verizon now dedicating a good deal of its advertising resources towards the iPhone, at the expense of products like the Droid, Motorola candidly states in reference to its Verizon userbase that “the loss of, or a significant reduction in revenue from, one or more of these customers could have a negative impact on our business.”
