And in case you’re wondering, Pi has been calculated to an astounding 5 trillion digits, a World Record that became official just last month. The culprit? A 55 year old Japanese man named Shigeru Kondo and a US grad student named Alexander Yee. The previous Pi calculation record was 2.7 trillion digits and was set in 2009. That’s 2.3 million more digits in just over a year, son.
