Fox 4 (KBTV) correspondent Mike McNeil recently shot and edited the first broadcast news story that was done solely with an iPad 2 using iMovie. While there isn’t much “editing” to speak of in the clip below (just some minor clip trimming), the on-the-scene ability to record video and make professional style edits on the go is a huge game changer. The video below may not be all that in and of itself, but it signifies a new dawn for how content is created and may ultimately prove to be a boon for field producers working domestically and abroad.
