AirPlay is cool as hell: wirelessly transmit video in 720p to your big screen TV right from your iOS device. You know what else is cool? iPad 2 video mirroring in full 1080p HD. But you know what’s even slicker than that? Combining the two into and turning the iPad 2 into an ad-hoc AirPlay 1080p mirroring device.
The feat was accomplished by Eric Govoruhk and Kelly McAteer who used a wireless HDMI transmitter and USB battery pack to pull it off.
