Anybody who watches 30 Rock has undoubtedly noticed a strong tinge of Apple product placement. MacBook Pros abound, and more than that, Liz Lemon (played by Tina Fey) is constantly whipping out her iPhone. Indeed, Tina Fey in real life has noted that she does, in fact, use a Mac to work on 30 Rock scripts while also relying heavily on her trusty iPhone.

Which is why the following clip is particularly funny, albeit creepy at the same time. While discussing her latest book Bossypants with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Fey talks about how she uses the photos in her smartphone to take stock of what she’s been doing lately in her life. Though she doesn’t explicitly state she uses an iPhone, Schmidt jumps in and says she should start using a more powerful phone.

Okay, fair enough. But things get a little creepy when Schmidt tries to convince her why a more powerful smartphone (read: Android) will make her life easier.

Schmidt: And we want you to use a more powerful phone. And we have a lot of applications that can help you where you wanna go, what you should do. This is what we do. We’re good at it.

As your daughter gets older you can keep track of your daughter with your phone. Trust me, you’re gonna wanna want our phones.

Fey: Subdermal chips??

Schmidt: That’s been proposed but we’re not quite there yet.

In a episode of 30 Rock from a few years back, Fey did a nice little spoof of Steve Jobs’ iPhone introduction. Check that out below. Sorry folks, the HULU video below is US viewers only.
