Apple’s Sherlock is apparently alive and well in Jamaica

You don’t hear about Sherlock, Apple’s semi-ancient file and web search tool that first debuted with OS 8.5 in October 1998. Sherlock would subsequently be replaced by the Spotlight feature Apple introduced in OS X Tiger and was officially retired by the time OS X Leopard came around in 2007. Oddly enough, though, the Sherlock page on Apple’s Jamaican website appears to be alive and well.

If you happen to be running an older version of OS X with Sherlock installed, the only channels currently operational are Internet search and Translation.
