C Spire Wireless announced back in October that it would become the fourth carrier in the US to carry the iPhone and now comes word that it will officially launch on November 11.

Formerly known as Cellular South, C Spire Wireless is based out of Mississippi and services approximately 880,000 subscribers in various parts of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

Earlier this week, C Spire issued a press release highlighting its iPhone plans which are easily the most cost efficient on the market. I suppose when you have less than 1 million subscribers you can afford to do things the major carriers can’t.

“As a carrier dedicated to delivering the best personalized wireless experience, we’re proud to offer the amazing new iPhone 4S to our customers,” said Hu Meena, president and chief executive officer for C Spire. “iPhone 4S offers an abundance of new features, and with our Choice Infinite data plans customers can enjoy all of them on our network without having to think about their next bill.”

The iPhone 4S will be available on C SPire at the typical subsidized prices with accompanying data plans starting as low as $50/month. That plan will net a user 500 minutes of talk time, unlimited text messaging and unlimited data. Indeed, all four of C Spire’s iPhone plans include unlimited data. One important caveat, though, is that the two cheapest plans, while coming with unlimited data, exclude streaming.

Overall, those are some mighty attractive plans considering what you might otherwise find at AT&T and Verizon. We’re just a little confused as to how C Spire will handle streaming data for users who sign up for the lower tiered packages.
