Apple Stores ban Facebook

In an attempt to curb customers from browsing around Facebook for extended periods of time, Apple Stores recently banned access to the site on store computers.   MySpace, another popular social networking site, was banned in 2007.  I suppose this is the first time that MySpace has actually paved the way for Facebook.  Talk about a role reversal!

UPDATE: Turns out this story is false.  Apple has no storewide policy on Facebook, and its up to each store individually to decide if they want to ban it or not.

It would be interesting if someone surveyed how many people actually go to the Apple Store for purchases vs. loitering, checking emails and social networks!
