Digitimes is reporting via the Chinese language Commercial Times that Foxconn is in the running to become the manufacturer for Apple’s rumored and not-yet-announced netbook.
This is just the latest tidbit of news originating out of China which hints at an upcoming Apple product with a smaller form factor. Just a few weeks ago, we reported that Apple had placed an order for a shipment of 10-inch touchscreen panels from Wintek, the same Taiwanese company that supplies Apple with the touchscreens it uses for the iPhone.
Whether these panels will be used on a forthcoming netbook or some sort of larger iPod Touch remains open to speculation.
