AT&T activated 1.6 Million iPhones last quarter

AT&T disclosed its earnings today, and revealed that it activated 1.6 Million iPhones during the past quarter.  Amazingly, 40% of those activations were to new AT&T subscribers.  During the last quarter of 2008, AT&T activated 1.9 Million iPhones, but that number was undoubtedly bolstered by the shopping-friendly holiday season.
