When we read Testfreaks’ in-depth review of 16 Twitter clients for OS X, our first reaction was, “There are 16 Twitter clients for the Mac worth testing?!”  Well, apparently they are.  So if you’re looking to spicen up your tweeting experience, make sure you check out their extensive chart of Twitter client pro’s and con’s over here.

Personally, we haven’t used every Twitter client mentioned in the above review, but are admittedly biased towards Tweetie.  We’ve been using it for a few days now, and it’s everything a Twitter client should be.  The interface is small enough so that it doesn’t dominate your screen, yet powerful enough so that when you do want to get your tweet on, you can perform a variety functions with ease.

Some have complained about Tweetie forcing users to tweet in a new window, but we think that it’s actually a plus.  Twitter can get cluttered real quick, and tweeting from a separate window helps you keep an eye on things a bit better.
