Macnn reports:

Manomio’s official Commodore 64 app has successfully passed through the App Store approval process, after encountering trouble with the initial submission. The emulator is legally licensed through the current Commodore trademark owners. Users can experience original C64 graphics and SID sound, along with an auto-save feature and support for either landscape or portrait mode.

The app costs $5 and comes pre-loaded with 5 titles – Dragons Den, Le Mans, Jupiter Lander, Arctic Shipwreck and Jack Attack.  MacRumors points out that “the cost of the additional games will be dependent on the conditions of the license holder but most are expected to be in the $0.99-$1.99 range (or even Free).”

Can’t complain about that.

And if you’ve never had the pleasure of gaming on the Com 64, TouchArcade provides us some video footage of the app in action, though it notes the games displayed below aren’t yet available for purchase on iTunes.
