Apple plans to open 25 new retail stores in China over the next 24 months

Apple’s annual shareholders meeting too place earlier today in Cupertino, with Steve Jobs and other executives fielding questions on a varying number of issues. Of particular interest are Apple’s plans to open up 25 new retail stores in China, though Ron Johnson, Apple’s Senior VP of Retail didn’t specify the timeframe for such plans.

Apple’s first retail store in China opened up in Beijing in July 2008.
