Samsung offeres free handsets to frustrated iPhone 4 owners

Wired reports: It appears that technology giant Samsung is handing out free Galaxy S smartphones to iPhone 4 owners frustrated by reception problems. An account on Twitter called @samsungukmobile is contacting people who’ve tweeted about their difficulties with the handset, asking them to submit their contact details to receive a free handset.

Apple today added the Droid X as the latest entry on its list of smartphones which display signal attenuation.

That’s the key finding in a survey released this week by Yankee Group, which reports that 73% of iPhone users are very satisfied with AT&T’s service. That rating compares favorably to how non-iPhone smartphone users feel about AT&T, and even to how non-iPhone users feel about other wireless providers. via CNN
