Apple gearing up production for 25 million CDMA iPhones in 2011?

The Taiwan Economic News reportedon Wednesday that Foxconn will join Taiwanese-based Pegatron in manufacturing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4. Citing unnamed sources, it was reported that Foxconn is expecting to ship 15 million CDMA iPhone 4 units in 2011.

And hot on the heels of that report is a story from Digitimes statingthat Pegatron expects to ship 10 million CDMA iPhone 4’s in 2011.

Pegatron Technology internally expects its Apple CDMA iPhone shipments to reach 10 million units in 2011 and the company has recently started to gear up and is installing new equipment as well as hiring about 10,000 new employees at its plant in Shanghai, China, according to sources from component makers.

Put 2 and 2 together and we have expected shipments of 25 million CDMA iPhones for 2011.
