Rejoice, Angry Birds fans. Users of the popular iPhone app can now purchase a new Mighty Eagle character that enables users to skip a particularly hard level and start the next one. The one caveat is that the new character, which is $0.99 extra, can only be used once every hour. You can also use the Mighty Eagle character on levels you’ve already completed to amass even higher scores and greater achievements. And oh yes, there’s also a basic app update that comes with 15 desert themed levels. Huzzah!
Rovio notes that with 2011 approaching, Angry Birds has been downloaded an amazing 50 million times across all mobile platforms.
