Mac App Store is a “very big deal” – Evernote CEO

Mon, Jan 10, 2011

“It’s a very big deal […] We initially thought that since so much of our user base was coming from mobile, that was the key distribution platform. But maybe it isn’t mobile that’s important, maybe it’s the well-designed app store.” – So said Evernote CEO Phil Libin in the wake of impressive Mac app store sales where the company recorded over 90,000 new client downloads on Apple’s new Mac App Store platform.

Last week, Apple noted that the Mac App Store had already seen over 1 million downloads across paid and free apps.
