Apple’s chain of retail stores have been popular targets for thieves lately, but now Ninjas are also looking to get MacBooks, iPods, and iPhones on the cheap.

Earlier this morning, a man dressed in white, and described as wearing a “white ninja suit”, drove a stolen car into the outer glass windows of an Apple Store in Greensboro, North Carolina. The glass naturally gave way to the car as it entered the retail store with resounding force. Hey, aren’t Ninjas supposed to be stealthy?

In any event, upon emerging from his vehicle, this Ninja wannabe panicked and decided to abruptly flee the scene without even attempting to steal anything. I tell ya, criminals just aren’t as motivated as they used to be. It’s worth pointing out that the unsophisticated burglary attempt went down before the store opened up for business so luckily no one was injured in the fracas.

Not surprisingly, the Greensboro store will be closed for repairs for all of Friday. Now as for the white ninja suit, we have no idea if this guy was inspired to be a crafty thief or if he was trying to let people know of his affinity for white Apple products.
