A week after Steve Jobs passed away, Tim Cook sent out an email informing Apple employees that a special and private ceremony celebrating the life and accomplishments of Steve Jobs was planned for October 19 at 10 a.m Pacific Time on Apple’s Cupertino campus.

In light of that, 9to5Mac has learned that Apple Stores this Wednesday, perhaps around the world, will close for one hour starting at 10 a.m PST so that employees can watch a live feed of the planned memorial/celebration.
