Microsoft not only unveiled a slew of new Windows Phone 7 handsets on Monday, but it also showcased the first WP 7 commercial. All in all, it’s pretty funny and enjoyable. But as Gruber points out, people aren’t tethered to their iPhones because of frustrating and difficult to navigate UIs, but rather because they enjoy them and can’t get enough of them. The tagline for the commercial is, “It’s time for a phone to save us from our phones” – the problem is that no one with an iPhone, or even an Android device, wants to be saved.

So, what… the phone is so boring to use that you won’t want to use it much?
